Lea Porsager is a Danish artist born in 1981. Using a variety of media, her practice interweaves fabulation and speculation, encompassing both science, politics, feminism, and esotericism. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Städelschule in 2010, and is currently a PhD candidate at Malmö Art Academy and Lund University. Porsager received a CERN Honorary Mention as part of the Collide International Award in 2018 and she was awarded the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Scholarship in 2014.

 

Porsager has had solos shows at Moderna Museet in Stockholm (SE), Göttingen Kunstverein (DE), Künstlerhaus Bethanien (DE), Henie Onstad Kunstsenter (NO), Emily Harvey Foundation (US), ARKEN Museum of Modern Art (DK), Nils Stærk (DK), Overgaden (DK), and Brandts (DK). Furthermore, Porsager has participated in dOCUMENTA (13) and the 14th Istanbul Biennial. In 2018, she inaugurated the memorial Gravitational Ripples in Stockholm (SE), commemorating the Swedish lives lost to the tsunami in Southeast Asia in 2004.
